new worlds emerge.”

Quick Facts:

Each year, nearly 65,000 young adults in their 20s and 30s are diagnosed with cancer. (Source: Livestrong. Young Adult Alliance)

In contrast to younger and older cancer patients, survival rates for young adults have not increased since 1975, possibly due to factors such as lack of insurance, less participation in clinical trials and delayed diagnoses. (Source: Livestrong. Young Adult Alliance)

Young patients are often challenged with unique long-term effects and being caught between the worlds of pediatric and adult oncology. (Source: Livestrong. Young Adult Alliance)

Younger people and those with lower incomes feel the financial impact of cancer more acutely. 28% of young adults say that the financial impact of cancer is a major burden on themselves and their families. (Source: Kaiser Family Foundation)

How CCC is creating change:

CCC is creating change through four key initiatives:

  • Awarding over $70,000 in college scholarships to young adult cancer survivors.
  • Increasing scholarship accessibility through development of an online database of over 3,000 scholarships available to young adult survivors.
  • Partnering with the LAF Young Adult Alliance to promote effective solutions and quality of life programs for survivors.
  • Creating an online community for survivors that focuses on positivity, education, opportunity, and hope.

Just remember that CCC stands for:

  • Bringing together the country’s leading experts in psychology, oncology, education and survivorship to lead us in change for survivors.
  • The notion that 100% of every donated dollar goes directly towards our college scholarship program.
